Orientation training for Heads of Soum Steering Committees and VABU from the Participating soums

As aiming to give a comprehensive information about the project implementation  and build capacity for the Soum steering committees and VABU in participating soums, the Orientation training was organized cooperatively by the Livestock and Agriculture project and FAO technical assistance team as targeting audiences including 15 governors, head of the VABU and its officers  from the 15 participating soums in Erdenebulgan soum of Arkhangai aimag, Uliastai soum of Zavkhan aimag and Bayankhongor soum of Bayankhongor aimag on Nov 4-11, 2014.
The most comprehensive information on the project key documents and guidelines on the finance, communication, social participation and gender, animal health and breeding, feeding and fodder and regular and mid-term monitoring and evaluation against the proposed result indicators were shared to the participants to give common understanding and awareness. 
So those heads of steering committees and directors and  VABU staff got general understanding about the project implementation, terms of references and guidelines how to implement  project activities in the soum levels, but also, they were trained on Rural investment software program that will be used sub project development.

 The first training was organized in Arkhangai province for the participants of Chuluut, Tsakhir and Tsetserleg soums of the province and Burentogtokh, Tunel and Tosontsengel soums of Khuvsgul province on November 4-5, 2014 in Arkhangai province; the second was organized in Zavkhan for the participants from Otgon,Tsetsen Uul and Yaruu soums of Zavkhan province on November 7-8, 2014 and  the third was in Bayankhongot soum for the participants from Bayantsagaan, Galuut and Jargalant of Bayankhongor province and Tseel, Tsogt and Bugat soums of Gobi-Altai province on November 9-11, 2014. Moreover,   heads of the aimag industry and agriculture department and veterinary and Breedind divisions and Animal health and hygiene laboratory took parts in the training, covering totally 76 participants.
